What is a digital assistant?

A digital assistant, otherwise known as a virtual assistant, is a person who provides support services to a business from a remote location. These support services can take many different forms, but they generally include: coordinating schedules, setting up meetings, social media production, taking care of admin tasks, basic bookkeeping, answering emails and phone calls, content management, transcribing or translating documents, preparing letters or documents, and/or organizing travel arrangements.
